Weekly Wrap Up 10-16-20

This was a hard a week. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that we lost a member of my family this week. This year continues to throw challenges our way. While this has been a rough week, I am looking forward to the fact that my parents will be here this weekend and that we’ll be able to spend some time (safely) with family.

There is something to be said about leaning into comforts when we’re feeling down and overwhelmed. This week, I leaned into my books, self care, and a little bit of retail therapy. We also tried some AMAZING new recipes this week. They are all Nick approved and we’ll be adding them to our rotation.

Books Read: The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Spoiler Alert

Currently Reading: The Assassin’s Blade, Hamnet

Dinners: My friend Claire’s Caesar Flatbread is our new favorite OMGGGG. It’s so good and just hits the spot. Plus it is so easy to make! Trader Joe’s has a great frozen pizza dough if you’re looking to cut corners. We also added a layer of shredded mozzarella underneath the salad and it was chef’s kiss delicious.

This gnocchi recipe was also easy and so good—I used the leftover chicken for flat bread the next night! Seriously, so easy and so good!

Lusting: We’re still furnishing the apartment and I am loving this cabinet. I think it would be perfect in my office! But I did finally get myself a book cart!

I got these pillow cases as well and I cannot wait to cover the ugly pillows our couch came with.

Speaking of Self Care, I’ve been taking SO many baths lately. I love to light a candle and read, so I needed some softer lighting. I got these two book lights—I use one in the bath and one in bed. I love them SO much!

Find all these are more linked in my Amazon Shop!

Books Purchased: I’m trying REALLY hard not to buy books but…I couldn’t resist From Blood and Ash. Ashley is loving it and I love Ashley, so I ordered it!

I just want to say thank you for all the love this week. Between what is going on with my family and then the struggles Nick and I have been going through in 2020, the support of this community means the world to me. I want to make sure I am serving YOU here on Read & Wright. If there is anything you’d like to see going into the holiday season, I’d love to know!
