Writing Update #6: Hello, NaNoWriMo

Oh hello. It’s November 1. Which means it’s the first day of NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month. It’s also when it’s socially acceptable for Christmas music is my house. No, don’t want to hear about it. When Thanksgiving drops a bomb playlist, I will LISTEN.

Okay so, NaNoWriMo. Here we are. To say I’m anxious about what I’ve committed to is an understatement. I’m goal oriented so I HATE leaving things unfinished. Committing to NaNo has me feeling like, “But where will all my time go!?!?” when I keep forgetting how hard I’ve worked to prepare for this month.

As many of you readers will know, this year has been far from perfect for me. It’s left me feeling drained, sluggish, and unsure. But one thing I have never doubted about this year is my book. My characters have hung out with me through a lot and have continued to inspire me through the tougher days. I’m excited to flesh out their story and hopefully, one day, share it with all of you.

So, for the month of November I will be doing weekly updates on my progress. Check out my goals for the month here so the updates make a little more sense. My NaNo updates will go live every Sunday, so my full length book reviews will be shared on Thursdays and Mondays for November.

I hope you’re excited to follow along on this writing journey! I started out NaNo with a Sunday morning writing session after being so inspired by my live with Amber last night! We are both doing NaNo this year and will continue to share updates.

HERE WE GO!
