Weekly Wrap Up 3-12-21

Sadly, I don’t have a lot to say today.

The week began sunny and hopeful but sadly ended on a somber note, as we lost Nick’s grandma very suddenly early Thursday morning. We’re okay, but it has been a huge shock for us. With the pandemic, grief and mourning is so different and it’s hard not to be able to hug your people when they need comfort.

Here’s a little from the week that brought some joy.

What I Read:

Fake by Tate James, Kate by Tate James, A Court of Silver Flames (yes, a reread on audio already)

Currently Reading:

I haven’t chosen my next read yet, but I’m leaving towards Act Your Age, Eve Brown or a comfort reread of The Simple Wild.

Purchases:

We got a new coffee maker! We had some gift cards for our registry that we never used in the chaos of postponing our wedding last year. We finally decided to sit down and pick out a few items we’ve been wanting and this espresso machine makes me so happy.

I only drink decaf (shocking I know, I’ll have to do a whole post on it) so I’ve been looking to find some decaf espresso options. I got this one from Lavazza .

Wanting:

Dreaming of springy dresses and fun places to wear them. These pieces have been on my radar this week.

Weekend Plans:

We’ll be spending time grieving and with family if possible, but due to the pandemic we’re not 100% sure what that will look like.

We had a couple warm days with beautiful sunsets this week though, and that was revitalizing for our spirits!

Earlier this week I shared on Instagram that we had some springy weather and I got to break out my favorite lemon sweater. That one is old (I got it in 2018 but it remains a favorite) so I found some similar options linked here.
