Books by Trope: Small Town Romance
I love a small town Romance. There’s something escapist and familiar about it, which I tend to lean on more than something like Fantasy. I like to get lost in the charm of a small town but still have the familiarity of the world. There are SO many options out there but I thought I’d share with you some of the ones I’ve read and recommended recently as well as the ones I hope to read as well.
What I’ve Read:
It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey—And the sequel, Hook Line and Sinker. I love this world Tessa Bailey created in the Pacific Northwest. It’s for sure on my bucket list to visit now.
The Simple Wild by KA Tucker—How can I put a list like this together and not include my OG obsession? The perfect balance of swoony romance and emotional family connections set in Alaska. A comfort read for me, always and forever. The rest of the series: Wild at Heart, Forever Wild, Running Wild. '
The Jamison Valley Series by Devney Perry—A new favorite that I read recently thanks to Ashley! These were great audiobooks set in Montana that have a mystery element to each one as well. My favorite was The Outpost, which is book 4.
Love Next Door by Helena Hunting—I have been on the hunt for more books set in Lake towns after I read Every Summer After. This one is sweet and fun but I really liked the sequel, Love on the Lake.
The Suite Spot by Trish Doller—I don’t read a lot of closed door Romances, but gosh this one hit me right in the feels. I adored it and was so surprised by it. It’s set on a tiny island in the middle of a lake in Ohio.
The Ravenswood Series by Talia Hibbert—Talia can do NO wrong. This is a must read series.
Queerly Beloved by Susie Dumond—A queer baker is fired from a Christian baker for being gay and makes her side hustle as a bridesmaid for hire.
On My TBR:
Bet On It by Jodie Slaughter—This is supposedly sweet and fun…and centers on a sex bet, Do what you will that information.
Something So Sweet by Joy Avery—A small town in North Carolina where the mayor and his old flame clash.
Brothersong by TJ Klune—The whole Wolfsong series is supposed to be amazing!
All Rhodes Lead Here by Mariana Zapata—I’ve heard this has similar vibes as The Simple Wild but I’ve put off reading because Mariana Zapata’s books are notorious slow burns and I don’t always have the patience for that.
Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score—This book has been everywhere this Summer and I need to get to it soon! I want to read so many of Lucy Score’s backlist.
The Ravenhood Duet by Kate Stewart—I have avoided this series because I’ve heard it’s a heartbreaker.

Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez—I’ve heard this is Abby’s best and I need to read it ASAP!
