Review: See You Next Tuesday by Kate Stayman-London

I have been a fan of Kate Stayman-London since One to Watch. She’s remained one to watch for me! When I learned the concept of this novel, two political staffers on opposing campaigns (but both Democrat campaigns), I was all in. It gave me vibes of the last seasons of the West Wing, when everyone is split apart between President Bartlett’s remaining days in the White House or on the road with the Santos campaign.
I loved that it was mixed media too! Podcast transcripts, text threads, prose, news articles. It made it so dynamic to read!

What I Liked:
The Concept—Like I said above, I am a huge fan of The West Wing and this felt like pieces of Josh Lyman and Donna. I loved that they held the same core beliefs/politics. I loved how they moved through time together. The book takes place over 10 years!
The Mixed Media—Clever, fun, and somehow still moved the story along without feeling like we were missing anything.
The Characters’ Chemistry—Obviously loved the FMC and MMC, but the friend group and other characters were also so fun to get to know!
What Didn’t Work for Me:
Slow Start—Could have been a me problem, cause once I hit 35% I flew through it and loved it!
